Brookline Booksmith celebrates the launch of Kim Liggett’s much-buzzed novel The Grace Year. Joining Kim for this special event are Holly Black, Rory Power, and Libba Bray. Sasha Alsberg will moderate.

Kim Liggett, author of The Grace Year, is originally from the rural Midwest and moved to New York City to pursue a career in the arts. She’s the author of Blood and Salt; Heart of Ash; The Last Harvest (Bram Stoker Award Winner); and The Unfortunates.

Rory Power, author of Wilder Girls, grew up in Boston, received her undergraduate degree at Middlebury College, and went on to earn an MA in prose fiction from the University of East Anglia. She lives in Massachusetts. Wilder Girls is her first novel.

Libba Bray, author of The Diviners, is also the author of the New York Times bestseller Beauty Queens, the 2010 Printz Award-winning Going Bovine, and the acclaimed Gemma Doyle trilogy. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.

Holly Black is author of The Wicked King and several other contemporary fantasy novels, including Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale and the #1 New York Times bestselling Spiderwickseries. She has been a finalist for the Mythopoeic Award and the Eisner Award, and the recipient of the Andre Norton Award. Holly lives in Massachusetts with her husband, Theo, in a house with a secret library.

Sasha Alsberg is the co-author of Zenith and Nexus. She has moderated many events for the Booksmith. She lives in Boston.
